My Favorite Embellishments and Storage

Hi Friends! I finally got my embellishments organized and I wanted to share it with you today. Adding shine or sparkle to my cards is actually a little daunting for me sometimes. I usually second guess myself on how much to add and where to put it all. Finding the “right” embellishments for my style, has made the whole process a lot easier. Find the right storage for those embellishments has been a game changer!

That top picture is my “before” storage…It fit on my shelf but I had to dig through everything to find the one thing I was looking for. Keep reading to see the amazing after!

I have built up a collection of embellishments from Pink and Main, Pawsome Stamps, This Calls For Confetti, Twiddlers Nook and Studio Katia. Each company has something unique that I love about them.

Pink and Main

Pink and Main makes the best flat backed gems and pearl sets and they come in plastic wheels with 6 colors, all separated out. They have multiple sizes of each color and the containers make for easy storage.

Pawsome Stamps

My favorite sequin mixes ever are from Pawsome Stamps. They are hand made/mixed/designed and I love them for accents as well as shaker filling. They come in little zip bags which makes shipping great, but I found the perfect solution for long term storage. I am using 1.7 in square containers from Amazon to store the normal mixes and 2.5 in square containers for ones with XL sequins in them (affiliate links). The logo stickers and the color name stickers peel right off of the bags and fit perfectly on the plastic containers. I love that I can stand them up on their side so that I can see the colors and read the labels.

This Calls for Confetti

For my confetti sequins, with no facets or hole in the middle, I am in love with This Calls for Confetti. They just started offering storage containers and I really wanted to try them out. The zip lock bags that they come in are nice and sturdy but were tough to open with my longer nails. Once I got the confetti into the containers, I loved everything about them but the static trying to transfer the confetti made me want to pull my hair out. 100% worth it and I will definitely do it again, but I want to be honest with you.

I found that cutting the names from the back barcode sticker and adhering them with Tombow Mono Permanent Adhesive to the side of the containers worked out great. For the new Falling Leaves- Orange sequin mix, I needed to use one of those other 2.5 in square containers because the leaves are so big.

Twiddlers Nook and Studio Katia

My favorite clay embellishment mixes are from Twiddlers Nook. Amanda’s got the cutest stuff and they make amazing shaker filling. All the different mixes I have fit perfectly in the 1.7 square containers. The logo stickers from her bags also transfer perfectly to the containers. Also my star embellishment tray from TN gets used at least 3 times a week in this house!

Studio Katia is my favorite for clear bubble/drop embellishments and they are a great way to add shine without taking away from the color on your panel. The embellishment wand that I use is also from Studio Katia and I LOVE IT. It makes adding any kind of embellishments so much easier.

Completed Storage Solution

I grabbed a second container and with all my mixes laid out so that I can see the color/name, I know exactly what I have and where it is! I hope this inspires you to get your stash organized if its not already, and to add some more sparkle to your next project.

Some of the links above are affiliate links, meaning that I made a small commission from them but they don’t cost you anything extra. All items mentioned are things that I truly love and use.
